The south is characterized by a low population, spectacular scenery and infinite spaces. This part of the country is surrounded by the red dunes of the Kalahari in the east, the Namib Naukluft Park and the oldest desert in the world in the west and the Fish River Canyon, Africa’s largest canyon, in the south. The main and only Harbour in the South is Lüderitz, which seems a bit rough, barren and almost comical, but precisely for this reason presents its self very attractive in the middle of the diamond restricted area.

The north of Namibia is not only home to the world famous Etosha National Park, but is also blessed with many other highlights. To the north of the country, is the Caprivi, which with its extensive river system is also often referred to as Namibia’s Okavango Delta, the solitary Kaokoland, the hostile Skeleton Coast, the beautiful Damaraland characterized by the many rock paintings and engravings, the historic and relatively densely populated Ovamboland and the distinctive Waterberg.

Central Namibia is dominated by the capital Windhoek, as a economic and political center of the country, as well as a popular holiday resort and “playground” of Namibia, Swakopmund. Located around the towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay is the Dorob National Park, which connects the Namib Naukluft Park in the south and the Skeleton Coast Park in the north. Towards the interior lies the Spitzkoppe, also referred as Namibia’s “Matterhorn” and the Erongo Mountains.Find out more on the central part of Namibia under the appropiate Menu points.

... a country that will grab you in a very special way. A country that will set you on an emotional journey and instill an amazing feeling of freedom. Namibia – a luxury of open spaces, original landscapes and fascinating wildlife. Here you will feel Africa – wild, raw, diverse and with an attraction that will leave you breathless. We lost our heart to Namibia already a long time ago, now it is your turn.
Is it the spectacular scenery? The amazing wildlife? The unique blend of African and European culture? All these aspects certainly play a prominent role, but we believe that Namibia's specialty lies elsewhere, namely in the absence of people. Namibia is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world – and we are proud of this! This makes Namibia not only one of the safest countries, but also ensures that we are blessed with little traffic and low pollution. This allows for wildlife, such as elephants, rhinos and lions to roam free outside national parks. Namibia probably also has the largest population of cheetahs and leopards worldwide. 45% of the country (equivalent to the size of Germany) are national parks, conservation areas and private game reserves. Namibia has the power to capture your heart and enchant you with its scenery. Namibia is a luxury of open spaces and a land of contrast. May you also fall in love with this beautiful country ...
