Grootfontein & Tsumeb & Otavi

The towns of Otavi, Tsumeb and Grootfontein define an area known as the 'Otavi Triangle' also known as the Otavi Mountain land. These 3 towns that define the triangle are approximately 60km from each other, hence the name. This geographical region is also referred to as the 'Golden Triangle' or the 'Maize Triangle' referring to an area extensively used for cultivation (due to high rainfalls) and for mining activities.

Attractions include the Fort Museum in Grootfontein, the Hoba Meteorite a mere 25km from Grootfontein, the Otjikoto Lake & the German Museum by Tsumeb.
